More Flexibility Enables More Possibility: Neusoft DSA @ Zhejiang Cancer Hospital
Founded in October 1963, Zhejiang Cancer Hospital (ZJCH) is one of the earliest four cancer specialized hospitals in China to maintain the highest standards of excellence in patient care, cancer prevention, research, education and rehabilitation and is ranked among the Top 10 Best Cancer Hospitals of China for 8 consecutive years. The hospital is home to 51 medical departments with 1,910 inpatient beds. Ranked as one of the largest cancer specimen banks in China, the hospital sets up a biological specimen bank reserving over 300,000 specimens. In 2020, it serves over 563,007 outpatients, accommodates nearly 134,840 inpatient stays, makes approximately 22,156 surgical operations, undertakes over 9,588 radiotherapy cases and 70,647 chemotherapy cases respectively. Some of the surgical operations have been done minimally-invasively with Neusoft's NeuAngio 30C DSA system (Digital Subtraction Angiography).
NeuAngio 30C is currently the most flexible DSA system in the market. The rail-less, 7-axis design enables larger coverage and more flexibility, and consequently brings in more possibility for the patients. Recently, an operation has been performed at the sitting position for an ovarian cancer patient who could not lie down.
The Interventional Therapy Department, the PICC catheter room and the cath lab cooperated and successfully performed upper arm vein infusion port implantation for the patient, which re-opened a vein path for the patient and won back more vitality for her. Without the flexibility of the NeuAngio 30C DSA system, all this would not have been possible.
